About Us – Home Wood Custom Carpentry

Home Wood Custom Carpentry opened for business in 2004, on Homewood Ave in Hastings Ontario, serving primarily the home renovation industry.

The company is owned and operated by Jeremy Clutterbuck, a fourth generation carpenter brought up in the industry working for his father’s custom home business. Jeremy finished his apprenticeship at Fleming College in Peterborough. Soon after opening in 2004, we started serving the insurance restoration industry working for many of the top restoration companies in the area.

From the GTA to Belleville to north of the Kawartha Lakes, we have completed projects of all types and sizes.

Now operating out of Bowmanville, Ontario, we have continued to serve the private home renovation, new construction, and insurance restoration industries in southern Ontario.

Larry Clutterbuck / Project Manager and Estimator

Larry started his career at a very young age of 18 when he left high school starting to follow in his Fathers footsteps, the carpentry field. Soon after working for a large construction firm, Larry became a supervisor of the crew. From there he began his own company building custom homes for many clients over a 12 year period.

Larry has spent the last 15 years servicing the insurance industry, from managing repairs to properties after water or fire damage has occurred. Having a full understanding of structural building codes to finished building materials he will be able to advise you with what is required for your project.

Mike Simpson

Mike has an extreme eye for detail when it comes to finish carpentry. He has had the privilege of working in a cabinet shop environment making custom furniture to built in wall units.

Mike’s finish carpentry skills landed him a position building interiors of some of the luxury boat lines. We now, have had the opportunity to acquire such a talented, dedicated individual to our team.
